Meet Francine
Francine Melanson lives in Dieppe with her husband. She has 3 wonderful children and 2 grandchildren.
She began her journey in healthcare as a physiotherapist at the Georges L. Dumont Hospital and the Ste Anne Hospital where she worked until she had her children. She decided to stay home and watch her children grow for a while. Unexpectedly, the universe sent her a houseful of children in need of childcare, so she started calling her home a daycare😊 She was blessed with the gift of caring for a child with Autism. This led to a career as a clinical supervisor doing behavior and learning consultations for a preschool program serving children with autism spectrum disorder where she worked for more than 12 years. Like anyone with the honour of having a child with autism in their life, she cherished the moments of personal growth.
As the universe would have it, once one lesson is learned it fades away leaving room for new opportunities. Her entire life, she was drawn to holistic medicine for herself and her family’s health care. She decided to study and become a healing touch practitioner and foot reflexologist. Soon thereafter, a position conveniently opened at an acupuncture clinic where she works to this day. She witnesses every day how clients benefit from acupuncture. This is where and when she fell in love with Acupuncture and Alternative Medicine. In September 2023, she received her diploma in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from CCATCM.
In her spare time, she loves travelling, camping, hiking, swimming, and playing with her grandchildren.
Meet Julie
Julie Melanson joined the team in the summer of 2022 as a receptionist and clinical assistant. She immediately felt at home in the clinic, greeting clients and getting them ready and comfy for a relaxing and healing treatment with Jackie and Francine. Having completed the 3rd level towards her Healing Touch certification, she loves to spoil the clients as an addition to their treatment when she can. Having received many of these types of alternative medicine treatments before, for various health conditions, from Jackie, Francine, and other providers, Julie finds fulfillment in contributing to the administration of these same services that have helped her so much.
Outside of work, Julie loves to take care of her adorable and chaotic niece and nephew. She enjoys drawing and doing various arts and crafts. She loves music and enjoys relaxing by playing on her beloved 121-year-old piano named Charlotte. She loves swimming so much she would live underwater water if she could. She recently found herself in a book club with friends as well as a local Japanese/English language exchange group. She also enjoys playing a lot of games with family and friends, where she likes to be funny and make terrible puns. She will never miss a chance to play Spikeball and will never ever turn down a challenger.
